I have considsered having my BGC intake coated with either powder coat or cermakote. What worries me though is thermal transfer.I worry that cermakote will hold the heat in.Any thoughts or opinions. Thanks in advance.

What is Cemakote?

If a metalic ceramic is applied on runner surfaces.. no problems. I question the charge air temp negating the purpose of ceramic interior coatings and lean in favor of a polymer to improve (reduce surface tension) air flow. I've done the cermanic on both I/E runners and chambers and w/valves.

Powder on exterior makes for a nice finsh w/ polymer on intake runners and intake well, with ceramic as 1st coat under the polymer to assist with heat management. This does get rather costly if application is anything other than a full race setup...
