Bend it into a U shape. Just put one end in the furthest pin to the left (TCC pin), and put the other end in the furthest pin to the right (ground).

I was taught that it's best to lock the converter immediately after it shifts into 3rd gear. If you have it set to lock at staging, it will just bog the car down in 2nd gear. It's also harder on the converter locking it full time.

If you're racing, just remember after you cross the line to bump it back into OD and unlock the converter when slowing down.

1 of the buick vendors also sell a lock up converter button which makes it easier to lock it up when you hit second or thied gear. cant remember who.:D

I just wired mine to a toggle switch under the radio pod. When 3rd gear engages.. *FLIP*

i did mine a little different than most people. i used a wire, small switch, and one of those U shaped connectors. i put the wire to ground, ran that into the switch, then from the other side of the switch i connected the U. i then cut off one side of the U. i can then plug the connector into the tc circuit and lock it up. then if i ever get a trouble code, i move the wire, flip the switch and pull the codes. i know it sounds like a hillybilly way of doing things, but no one but me has ever noticed the wire. and its very convienent.

where to lock it up is up to you, i lock mine off the line and have never had any problems doing that, it won't engage untill 2nd gear anyways. but some people only lke to lock it at high rpm. every car is a little different.

its great for the street to. driving at 35 when i won't go into od, you can flip the switch and bring the rpm down a little.v also lowers tranny temps.
