i had the same thing happen with a jessel on exhaust like you JD, what would the cause be? mine happened when i was warming the motor up, only around 2000rpm

Look closely at the failed metal. Do you see any areas that are NOT clean? You may have had stress cracks starting around the pushrod cup that just progressed into the big failure.

I had a rocker break also but it happened on the top end.It broke the roller lifter roller and that took out the cam.

I hope you do, he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He is a BIG asset to our Buick community. Myself and many others here on the board wouldn't have reached this far into our stage II project with out Mike's help.
