I know this topic has been beaten, but I even called Kirbans tech support and they were not sure which one is the temp sensor. I understand it has one single green wire going to it and the wire should be taped since it wont be used.

My question is where is the thing? If I was facing the engine, it is just off center to the right (closer to drivers side)? Does the sensor mount from the top or does it mount in from the front? All the potential ones i see have a wire type harness that seems to snap on, but I cant figure out how to get them off.

And again sorry for posting this, but I did search the archives and came up with many different locations for the same sensor. Some said under the upper radiator hose, some said on the top, some said left, near passenger side.

My car is an 87 GN

As you look from the front of the car, its the single wire on the left side front of the motor.

The coolent temp. SWITCH is located next to the thermostat on the passenger side.

The sensor is front mounted.

The green wire comes out of the wiring bundle on the D side of the intake that also contains, cam sensor, crank sensor, O2 sensor, IAC, coolent temp sensor, and the temp fan control.

HOWEVER, the green does not have anything to do with the temp SENSOR, which is top mounted on the DS of the intake just under the throttle linkage.

Dan,

So the temp sensor is just below the linkage and is top mounted (standing upright)? how does the connector come off? Thanks.
