Pop through the up pipe???.

What would cause a pop through the up pipe when cold.TIA.AL

Could be any number of things, mine did it also occasionally, went to a Reds 93 chip and the whole world changed for the positive. Had a Hypertech.

Are you talking about when it's cold and you try to start it?

If so you have a timing issue or a sticky valve. This would be caused by one of the intake valves being open when the spark plug fires off and burning of raw fuel.

If you have just changed chips lately you might want to try another. If not you may want to check your compression or do a leak down test to see if the valves are sealing. Or even pull the valve covers to see if you have a valve sticking.
