I am jsut wondering what would be the gains of portring your stock turbo and elbow ?? Hp wise/et wise ?? Is it worth the time and effort is what I'm basically asking.

Thanks

You'll definately notice a difference if you change your cam and turbo. Concentrate first on the basics and run with them until you feel the need to increase power. My first upgrade if I had your setup would be turbo, then cam/porting heads. Hope that helps a bit, Mike

Porting the elbow is definately worth the time and effort if you are planning to run the stock elbow.

Porting the compressor housing to match the inlet bell diameter is pretty easy, too. You just have to remember to stop porting about 1/4 before the wheel starts and smoothly transition everything in.

Then smooth and polish the inside of the bell.

It's hard to quantify gains, but the car will potentially be faster after these mods.

I had that done on my first TR and got 17psi and spooled quicker. It only cost me $100.00. I thought it was well worth it . It also had a dump tube attached that I could close off.
