I spent 30ish min with a dermal tool on this. Tell me what y'all think or give me some pointers as to what else needs to be done. All I did was smooth out the casting inside the housing.

Nice start, now finish it.

Finish getting the pits out and smooth it out and make it look like a mirror.

Radius the edges also to make a smooth transition if you really want to spend the time on it.

Carbide bit and a sanding roll to smooth it.

Looks good but you'll save some cash buy a Kirbon pipe the will rattle and leak
Fight it for a year then brackdown and get a good down pipe.
I loved the stock look but the rattles and leaks made me crazy

HUH??

What are you actually trying to say ????

My bad
I was ditching Kirbons pipe ,that's not right most liked it
The elbow looks good
I found the 1 in 120 grit flapper wheel mad fast work on the insid with nice finish

Had a ported elbow on my car when it was mostly stock. Noticed a difference.

The po put a kenne bell 3" down pipe on the car. I am just trying to squeeze as much out of it as I can. The porting and polishing is cheap. While the turbo is off the car I am going to open up the inter cooler some and smooth it out and also smooth out the inlet bell on the turbo.

Pull the throttle body and cut the new gasket to match the tb and port match the plenum. I've heard its worth a 1lb. It's fun playing with the stock setup. imo the turbo and downpipe should be your last upgrade unless the turbo craps out. Slap a manual boost controller on there while your at it.

Nice! i am going to do this when i decide to slip in my Dutted IC in. can't wait to feel the results !

Look at your downpipe donut and ask what the flow diameter of that is. You may even surprise yourself.

I think the donut we used in the past was from a Ford truck it had a much bigger ID but fit the pipe and elbow, I can't find the part number been a long time

I did one years ago to match my 3" Action Fab down pipe before a TH style elbow. The Action Fab DP didn't use a donut if I recall so I could open it up to 3"...I pretty much maxed it out. Worked fine for me while it was on.
