I believe from looking at gnttype photo guides that I have an Auburn posi (don't think its an Eaton, has 5 springs). I've already put the cover back on and didn't know if I needed to add the posi additive? I am guessing yes in that it has some type of clutches in there. TIA

yes to additive

unless you like the popping and grinding you get making a slow turn without it

:)

Mr Hot Air, I did like the mean growling sound my stock posi made one time:p

I was curious about the Auburn unit I think I have. It talks about cone style, I guess that means there are clutches in there also and therefore needs the additive? I thought maybe since it was not rebuildable and described as cone it was like a Powertrax and did not have any clutches:confused:

dont have clutches but it will hollor after awhile without the additive.... been there done that
