I have been experiencing a lil problem for about a week or so now. It seems when I am driving for a while and then make a turn, either left or right, the car acts like it drops a cylinder but clears up in second or so. It's like I have a 5 cylinder and then it clears up. I am thinking I have an injector leaking, dribbling or whatever and the fuel is puddling in the bottom of the intake until I make a turn and it dumps into a cylinder. Does this sound about right? It does it more so when it's not quite up to running temp but it has happened even when its warmed up. Yes...the injectors are old...VERY old stockers. I just want to make sure I'm chasing this problem in the right direction. ANY input or suggestions are welcome! Thanx!!

I'd be a bit more willing to think you might have either a ground problem or positive battery cable problem that may be moving slightly on the turns and shorting. BTDT.

Hmmm...

I'll check out battery connections here shortly on my lunch break. I am stilling leaning towards fuel or possibly a plug wire problem. It is just weird how it clears up after it's straight again. I'll do a few checks and let ya'll know what I find. Thanx.

Update...

I checked plug wires, grounds, battery connections,....all seem to be fine. Boots appear to be OK where plug wires go on coil pack. Vacuum lines are fine. Still thinking injector or plug itself. I'll change plugs tonight and see if that helps and check to see if any look overly rich or carboned up.

Sounds more electrical (connection) to me....or a loose hose somewhere between the maf and the tb.

I'll give it a good Once-over....

and check all connections as far as Maf goes. Hopefully its something simple. If its the Maf about to take a dump, then I'll just go with LT1/LS1 Maf and Translator combo....We'll see. Thanx for the info Steve.

I did not mean the maf itself...I meant one off the hoses...like the hose to the turbo inlet...if air gets into the system between the maf and the tb, it screws up the metering and the car will run badly. Sorry for the confusion. :)

i say check coil pack/m,odule. there is a TR club close to you, im sure someone will let you borrow a tester:) i had a problem with my stock injectors leaking but it made me run real rich. i dont see how fuel can puddle around a valve and then gets sucked in b/c theres always vacuum to suck it in. i know my coil/module is probably bad and when i let off the gas or when its cold out it will feel like it wants to dies and the RPMs drop but some right back up. just my $.02:cool:
