Power plate and Extender chip?

Think I remember reading that the Extender chip doesn't use the egr system. Therefore I guess that I should'nt have drill the power plate? Would some one confirm?

All true. However it won't hurt to drill it for those times when you need to go through a smog inpection with a smog chip that does use EGR.
