Power seat Where to get my 12v

Does the power seat run constant hot? If so, where should I get it? Was going to plug in to the fuse box but thought that the motor would draw too much. How about the alternator or staight to the battery?

you should be fine in one of the ign terminals in the fuse box. i use them for almost everything and havent had a problem yet

Take it from C453H which is located behind the LH side of the I/P near the shroud.

Off the Power Accessory Circuit breaker 30A like the factory does it.

Also runs the rear defogger power and the power door locks.

Power seat connection...

Ryan, the correct, original location to get your 12v. for the power seat is under the dash, on the left side, above the fuse block where you'll see a big white plastic block ( in which there are several wires connected to it) with slots in which the connector for the power seat is supposed to be plugged. If your car has the power seat originally, it should be an orange wire coming from under the carpet under the seat and that runs all the way there...At least, this is how they come from the factory.

I have seen a couple of cars without an original power seat still have that orange wire under the driver seat,check for it,maybe it's your lucky day.

I see an orange wire with a black stripe on it. The entire interior is not original. Don't think the car originaly had power seats. Is the slot labled Power seat?

I don't think that the slot is labeled "power seat", but you'll see there is only one way to insert the terminal in there...The orange wire is a little larger in size than most wires you'll find under the dash, and runs all the way under the carpet and comes out in an opening that's already pre-cut in the carpet.

That would be awesome if you could email some pics. I have no imagination. There is a wire from the seat running through the carpet.... I have that part. There are a lot of toys hooked to the empty fuse spots.
