Recently, my brake light came on...stayed on. Then shortly after the brake pedal became very hard. Checked the fluid it was fine limped home with the car. I then printed a copy of Ken Mosher's PowerMaster brake diagnostic tree on GnTtype.org. Started going through the steps found a blown fuse. Replaced the fuse and started the test procedures again. Now I notice fluid leaking and if I turn the switch on fluid will shoot from around the pressure switch. Could it be a bad O-ring, pressure switch, or pump motor?
I don't have the J35126 gauge suggested in the article.

Also now the pump whines, but that could be due to a lack pressure. I guess???

Help?

probably a bad pressure switch. i would just switch to vacuum brakes and be done with it.:D

Buy a whole new powermaster at autozone for $200 with a lifetime warranty. Your powermaster seemed to last about 16 years.:D
