Just ordered the PTE turbo saver. I know it calls for a Baldwin 279 oil filter. What other more common filters can be used?

Thanks for your input. Does AC or purolator have a filter for this application? I don't want to have to send away to get these filters. I could just imagine going to Discount and asking for a Baldwin or Wix filter.

an AC PF 25 can be used with turbo savers. i think the pf 35 can also be used. i forgot which one is bigger.

Hey John..
It uses a filter for a 1966 Pontiac V8 (or there abouts...i know the 66 works)

I usually run the Wix mentioned above on mine.

Just remember that they have to be a non bypass filters. Since you live in Fla.You can get the Wix through Central Auto parts, always in stock. The reason i continue to use the Wix is because when i bought my Saver , thats what it came with.I know i should run the Balwin as i can easily find them in Orlando but i dont drive there often enough.
