Guys the other day my buick went running really bad, checked grounds and such , no luck till I pulled back out on the road and nailed it, ton of black smoke then took off and has been running good again since then. It is running hard but seems a little down on power still. I think the MAF is going south on me but not sure. I have a scanmaster in it but this buick is new to me and I am still learning about it. On a buick that is running GOOD what should all the readings be on a scanmaster? The AF is going to 255 when you nail it and with the hot wire kit it jumps up to 15.4 volts but I am a real newbie on these buicks, thanks in advance Daniel Ray:confused:

255 is good - it is the max you will see for the AF. AF should be around 5 in park. You can try tapping the MAF while the car is idling and see if it stumbles - if it does the MAF could be going bad. The only way I know of to really check the MAF is to replace it with a known good MAF to see if your problems go away. MAybe someone will post the new address for gnttype.org which shows what all the Scanmaster readings should be.
