I finally installed my cold air intake, solid MAF pipe, Granatelli LS1 MAF, and Translator Plus today.

After routing the cold air intake and mounting the MAF, I hooked up the Translator Plus and started the car up. It ran fine, no SES Light or codes.

I then mounted the Translator Plus where I wanted it, but the cable was too short. I cut the wires and spliced in my own.

The wires were all routed and everything was done, and I started up the car and BOOM Code 23 and 34. The 23 was left over from unplugging the ATS Sensor. I cleared the codes and started it back up and the 34 was still there.

I checked the wires, and even swapped them to see if I had accidentially mixed them up. Everyway I tried it, I still got a code.

I just unhooked it for now, I can drive to work without a MAF as crappy as it runs. Any ideas?

How do I troubleshoot the Translator? What should appear on the leads? Is the centre console too far away (is there too much signal loss) to mount it there? Also, how can I check that MAF. It's a used Granatelli MAF, but I think it's good because the code didn't show up the first time.

Thanks, guys.

I am not sure that MAF will work with the Translator Plus.

There is a post on some of the boards about how bad those MAF's are.

I assumed that it would because it's an LS1 MAF, just a specialized one. An LS1 MAF is an LS1 MAF, right?

I did hook it up before I spliced the harness, and it worked.

I would retrace your steps.

That MAF will probably work.
