Selling for a friend.

He did a lot of R & D for GM back in the 80's - 90's and he is looking to sell all his Buick related parts. This is just one of the things of many that caught my eye.

This supercharger was developed for a 3.8L motor that made 420 horsepower. The vehicle that it was being tested in was crashed by one of the GM executives. This build is where the 3800 supercharged series came from.

He's looking to get $1200 for it.

Pulleys are somewhere in the shop and may take some time to find.

Wow, that's cool. So we're clear, is it for a 3.8 (109 block) or 3800 motor? Since SC's for 3800's are out there, must be 3.8 SC?
Thanks for posting!

This is for a 109 / off center / 3.8 / 4.1 Buick block.

This was done before the 3800 series

Super cool piece would love to slap it on my 4.1 production block .

That would make for a very unique build. Looks like a stock throttle body mounted upside down in the pic. Bad ass.

What car was that engine picture from? From the strut towers, it looks like a late 1980s LeSabre, but the engine is set up RWD.

I would love to see the look on other TR guys faces if someone with that build were to pop the hood on a GN or TR.

I believe it was, I didn't bother taking pictures of the photos of the car itself.

That is very cool. I would have bought it if I didn't already by every thing to go blow through turbo. What gets me though is the valve covers have bolts in the center?

looks like they have the same fwd heads as the TTA

That's awesome! It must be one of those mythical FBI GNX superchargers :p

I hope to see this back in a Buick some day.
