I bought a precision turbo front mount intercooler back when they where on sale. I took it out of the box, looked good, and promptly stuck it in the back of my garage.
Yesterday I was giving it a thorough going over and I found a potential problem. The smaller turbo to intercooler pipe had a few "patches" of densely packed "holes" in it. 2 patches about 2''x2'' each. The holes are so small its hard to tell if they go all the way thru. Even if they don't I worried about how it will react to 20-25 pounds of boost.
Anyone else have this on their pipes? If you do let me know what you did.
I called pte and they said that sometimes this happens in bending and just fill it with water to see if it leaks. My question is water laying in the pipe is not the same as pressurized air in the pipe.

I would get it tested at a radiator shop to be sure.
However,if you're not of that mind, you could give the pipe a good coat of high temp epoxy paint.
That pipe is not supposed to be porous for any reason and if it is,I would send it back for a new one.
