After blowing a hg on my last time at the track. Decided to get a power logger set up so I can see what’s going on with my set up. ( turns out I’m dealing with a crazy boost creep issues). But anyway did a few searches and didn’t find my answer. I have a 5.7 tt chip , can I use this chip with the power logger? Eventually I will purchsss the 6.1 chip with wide band if it’s recommended. But would be nice to be able to log info and etc before having to put my car down to get my 5.7 upgraded to the 6.1. I rather do that over the winter so I don’t lose any time on the street/track. Another question is, do I really need the 6.1? Can I make it work with the 5.7 and the translator? Just looking for some feedback on what to do. Thanks in advance.

I have a 5.7 tt chip , can I use this chip with the power logger? Yes you can. I had a 5.7 chip before I got my 6.1. You can still log parameters with the Powerlogger and nearly any chip.
Do I really need the 6.1? Depends. Do you have a wide band 02? You need a wide band to take advantage of the 6.1 tuning capabilities (AFR tracking). Otherwise, stick with the 5.7.

I would recommend reading the documentation from each to see the differences:

5.7: http://www.turbotweak.com/forum/index.php?threads/chip-instructions-for-version-5-7.1842/
6.1: http://www.turbotweak.com/forum/ind...tions-for-the-6-0-and-6-1-wideband-chip.1136/

If you have WB...then I'd recommend 6.1. Nothing wrong with 5.7...that's what I run.:)

No what . You install it and make sure your cars parameters are right . Then you go get your self a sd2 chip and Ditch the MAF and have full control over the tune if your car :) flexfuel aswell:)

No wideband. Planned on getting one over the winter though. So until I get that, the 6.1 is pointless I presume. Now time to get her installed.

And I'm not that saavy for the SD chip. Lol
