Question about 3.8 blocks

We have recently uncovered some 3.8 blocks and I'm trying to figure out exactly what we have.

Only thing as far as casting numbers, that we have been able to find are the following

One says 3.8-2
One says 3.8-3
and the third says 3.8 with a smaller 2 just behind it...

Anyone have any ideas what the applications are for these blocks?????

The 3 blocks appear to be identical. Only one has a casting # though. The # is 25506818. The www.gnttype.org site lists that # as a 4.1L block. But this block clearly has 3.8 on it.
