Hey Everyone-
I'm thinking about putting buckets and a console in my wagon, can anyone explain the shifter linkage on GN's (or any other g body) to me? For instance, if I were to acquire a newer GM console with shifter and cable would I be able to use that cable on the 2004R? If I could that would be totally sweet. Would I have to use a Gbody cable or something? Thanks a lot

If you are using the THM200-4R GM only made two different brackets where the cable attaches to the transmission. One for Chevy and Pontiac and the other for Olds and Buick. The only vehicles using floor shift with the THM200-4R are G-bodies. In other words use all the parts from what ever car you are getting the console and shifter from. A shifter cable from a Monte SS wont attach to a bracket from a GN for example. Eric Fisher

Thanks a lot Eric. I wanted to try to use like a grand prix console out of a newer one or something, would there be anyway to get that to work effectively? Thanks again

Do you mean RWD GP or FWD? To make things less complicated I would stay with the RWD set up. Eric
