Question about trunk weatherstripping

Is there a space in between the weatherstripping or does it connect all of the way around?

No space on the car I bought new, gasket glued at bottom near the latch mechanism.

Thanks Salvage. I have seen some with the space and some without. I just wanted to make sure it was going to affect closure.

Yelp .... 35 year old OEM W/ stripping as well. One complete piece that meet at the latch. I wasn't aware that the trunk stripping came in section?
