Question on factory radio and 6X9's

I installed 6X9's in the rear with the adapters and have noticed something. When I have the balance set in the middle, the speakers sound like crap. No bass or depth at all. If I turn the balance to either the left or right (all the way) the speaker sounds alot better. More bass and just a much better sound. Did not have this issue with the factory speakers. Any ideas why this is happening??

you've got one wired out of phase......the dark colors are POSITIVE;

LR+ BROWN
LR- YELLOW

RR+ DK BLUE
RR- LT BLUE

check them,one is just wired wrong.....switch the wiring (only on the wrong one)....and you're good....
