I installed the Scan Master power to the open IGN port in the fuse box. It works just fine, but when I turn the lights on, it seems to shut the ScanMaster down. Not sure if it shuts power off or just dims the lights so much it cant be seem.

The IGN open hole is the one on the bottom left of the fuse box.

IGN should have power as long as the ignition is turned forward. It shouldnt have anything to do with the headlight switch either

Use a DVM to check voltage at terminal with ign on. Seems like a silly question, but does adjusting the instrument light dimmer switch make any difference?

The dimmer switch doesnt seem to do anything. I was turning the lights on/off to make sure my gauges were on the dimmer. When I turned them on and looked at the ScanMaster I thought I had knocked a wire loose and lost power to the SM. Turned the lights back on and the ScanMaster was back up and running.

There were 2 open ign fuse ports, this was the bottom left slot.
