In the middle of a rebuild. So I bought a set of what I think are the old style TRW forged pistons without the coated skirts. Does anyone else have expirence with these? I heard from other posts they have a wrist pin oiling problem? Any advise on to put them in or not or comments about what pins to use would be appreciated.

Thanks
Matt

Matt you just bought those slugs off of ebay today. If you did great buy. I have the exact pistons in my car no problems.

lol, hey ya it was me. So those should be fine just as they are? They just look like the older style ones and had just heard thye sometimes have problems with the oiling.

Thanks
Matt

Good pistons sold well over 100 sets over the years with little to no problems

I had one seize the pin a little, so there may be a minor oiling issue. Still, they held up well. Don't go too big on the clearance - .004 or .005 is all you need. They don't expand much, and will slap for a while if you go .006 or more.
