question on tps setting

after i installed my new injectors and chip, i went to see Dave Hentz in Warminster. He is THE man in this area. he noticed that my minimum air screw was in a little far. we looked at IAC and it was 0. my tps was at .44. he said back the screw out a little bit to bring the iac up to about 20. i asked if i should readjust the tps and he said no, it should only drop to .42 which is ok. i backed the screw out enough to get the iac counts to 20, but tps voltage dropped to .38. is this ok? car is idling and driving fine. could too low of a tps setting at idle cause any adverse conditions?
 
wot is fine. it's between 4.7 and 4.9. i just don't feel like playing with it if i don't have to. too many other things to do, like replace my torque convertor AGAIN, pull the governer and t.v. valve to check and see if they're the cause of my occasional delayed shift, etc.,etc.,etc................!!!!!!!!!:rolleyes:
 
WOT setting doesn't matter, as long as it is above 3.8v (this is all the ECM needs to read WOT). The idle setting is more crucial. Make sure it doesn't go over .46 and doesn't go under .38 or thereabouts.
 
ok. i broke down and reset it. tps is .44 idle and 4.96 wot. iac is betw. 13 and 21 at idle. today is my stepson's 8th birthday, so i had an excuse to play with the gn. i got done my adjustments and took the kid for a ride. i had the old lady video tape the event. she only got about a 1/2 second of me on the tape. i pulled out in front of the house, boosted, and let her rip. i was at the end of the block in a second at 63 mph! then me and the boy proceeded to lay patches around the neighborhood. he was lovin' it! i guess i wore the vht off of the drag radials. but then again, i was launching at around 10-12 pounds of boost! he especially liked it when i launched it next to the local baseball field. he liked the fact that everybody's attention immediately turned to the whistling screaming black blur that just flew by! he said it was the best birthday present that he ever had. don't worry. i'm not a nut. i'm well aware of my surroundings and would never do anything to endanger my kids. can't wait to get some race gas and throw the 100 octane chip in this bad boy! thanks again to Eric at Turbotweak. boost stays right where it's supposed to be, no knock, and the plugs are a nice light tan. throttle response is excellent. by the way this thing is running now, i'm definately gonna need some REAL slicks when i drop the hot chip and gas in. should i be in the 11's at this point with my combo properly tuned?
 
You're good as long as you're between .38 and .44
The ECM resets when you start up to 0% throttle, and scales from there. 75% is PE mode.
the real deal, go to tps adjustment
