I left the lights on in the GN last night. I noticed the car amkes a noise when I leave the keys in the car and open the door but there is nothing when I leave the lights on and turn the car off. Is this how they were built?

chime module

I think that function is controlled by the chime module.

Mine is that way. Has been since Jan. '88 so I'm pretty sure mine came that way. Key in ignition chime but no headlight reminder.

I think mine did chime when I first bought it but stopped. No big deal but I would also like to know if it's supposed to. Tommy

There should be a sepeate fuse in the panel for the head light warning. I took out the fuse once for some reason and left it out. The one and only time I let the wife take the car to work, she left the head lights on when parking it. Lights left on all day, dead battery later in the day. I put the fuse back in to avoid that again.
