Quiet Cam Sensor

I may have a solution for loud tapping cam sensors. I removed the wave spring and steel shims and installed a nylon shim on bottom and a rubber shim on top. I can here a litlle tap when cold but once it warms I can't here it at all even with a stethescope on top of the cap. I have never been able to do that. You put a stethescope on top and it use to feel like the sensor was a machine gun. I don't know how durable this will be but it is worth a try . I will pull and inspect after a hundred miles or so.
I have tried everything except a new one and don't know if it would be quiet. Has anyone used the ones from Advance Auto by GP Sorensen?
