I have a set of Eastern Performance CNC Ported race iron cylinder heads.I think they have the 2.02 valves.I was wondering does these race heads or ones like it take away from the bottom end torque and power??

A couple of other things I forgot to mention is that I have a stock Cam,ESP front mount intercooler,PTE-44 Turbo, ported intake to match the heads,009 injectors,3:73 gears but running a 28 inch tall tire.Just installed my first scan tool, a scanmaster 2 last night. Can't figure it out yet though as the car was just idling.I believe my Eastern Performance heads are similar to the Champion heads though.

I doubt youve got those size valves.Proabably 1.77 and id bet similar to the champions(call and ask).Id change out the 3.73s for 3.42s.Still run the 28in tire though.Get a scanner if you dont have one and tune. Also id look into a chip from www.turbotweak.com

As for ported heads being race or killing the bottom end, as long as your running the right convertor,I dont see it hurting either.LC2s are all about bottom end.:)

Just my $.01:cool:

BTW Just saw your running the stock cam. Some say leave the stocker if its fine.Id go bigger.;)

Im not sure of the valve size on the heads but the heads are rated at 85+ horsepower.I have always heard that if the heads are done right they should not affect bottom end power and torque.I sure hope there not 2.02 valves that might slow the bottom end power down but i got to check to see what the actual size is rather then guessing 2.02 valves. If i put my 3:42 gears back in with my 28 inch tall tires it would be so far more sluggish. Why should i change that now?Eventually I would like the 3:42's back in but i want to get this thing running right.Maybe its a chip problem most guys expierence with their 009 injectors.I just installed my scanmaster last night so i have to learn the o2 volts.I think to get an accurate reading though i have to race the car???
