do you guys know if the pump and hot wire is still 139.00 i just ordered one i would hate to find out later that the price has changed

The last I knew, that price was still good. Maybe give them a call in the morning to find out just to be sure before they process your order.

Their website does still advertise the price so I'm sure you're good. They're good people.

APE has the pump for $108, Our regular price is less than that and I believe so is Racetronix. I don't see the savings

Save some money. Get the pump from http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/ and do a DIY hot wire.

This is an old debate that keeps coming up on this forum time and time again.

You would be hard pressed to be able to duplicate the quality, functionality and price of the Racetronix harness as a one-off DIY special. For all the time and effort it would take one would be much further ahead of the game to buy the complete system and be done with it.

I don't think it is even possible for anyone to duplicate the quality and ease of installation of Racetronix's harness. And even IF you could, the time you would spend in assembling the setup would not even be worth it.

Don't be a cheapo in this situation - we have a great vendor offering an outstanding product at an extremely fair price. Any pennies you save by DIY is NOT worth the time and headache to try and DIY.

There's a time and place to save and DIY - this harness is not one of them IMHO.

Period.

Just buy it

Yea a DIY kit is cool but what about that DIY relay (can't even touch the quality of the RaceTronix model) that fails as you are pulling out into traffic (how much will that cost ya)? I love building my own things but this kit is the best you can get.

Pinching the pennies in this case just doesn't make sense to me. Part of the cost is your TIME, and since we have a very reputable vendor that's already done the work, why know yourself out trying to reinvent the wheel?

GNTTYPE.ORG has a ton of great information; DIY if you must, but I really like the fact that it took me all of 15 minutes to install the Racetronix kit.

My 2 centavos.......

You would spend twice the money to make something even half as good as the Racetronix peice.

Know when to save your money, and when your money is well spent.

Instead of saving just a few bucks, get the Racetronix kit which is VERY high quality, and you would also be supporting a Buick Vendor.

Jack is the best of the best. His stuff is beautiful, works and fits like a gem. And as mentioned before, the quality is second to none. I don't like to compare vendors, but this is one time that I have to make this exception. When I put my Staged motor in my car, my wiring harness was junk. At the time Jack was up to his ears in work and tunning cars that time was not on his side. So I bought a engine harness from Caspers. Then bought a hotwire kit off of Jack for my dual Bosch 286 pumps. The quality of Jack's harness compared to Caspers is night and day(my engine harness looks like very cheap construction compared to my hotwire kit). He is definately the best of the best to buy from when quality is what you are after. You couldn't find a more professional person in their craft. Just food for thought.
