I need to update the car and with safety in mind i want the best brakes i can get for the car.
New combination should be making considerably more hp then before and the brakes at that time would barely stop the car in the 134mph range.
On the rear i can see i may have a problem with my choices due to the fact i am still running a 10 bolt with c clip eliminators (all Mark williams).
Anyhow i have no experience or know anyone with direct experience with aftermarket brakes (Wilwood/Strange/Mark Williams/Baer/Aerospace etc....
Money is not a factor for me when it comes to safety as i want the car to stop without having to rely on a chute.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
T.I.A. :)

I would think the Baer setup would be the best. Probably the most expensive tho.

If money is no object then without a dought Lamb Components - Drag Racing Specialists

Last time I ran my car the manual brakes preformed flawlessly. It puts the Powermaster to shame. The rear brakes are Wilwoods and my manual master is also a Wilwood unit. The master is from Drag Race Brakes
I just added Wilwoods to the front.

You can't go wrong with the Wilwood/Strange/MW/Lamb stuff.

I'll tend to shy away from the others.

Go on Wilwood, Aerospace, etc..? - Yellow Bullet Forums

brakes

I have Strange and they stop great. When the pm was acting up I could hardly tell it still stopped great

Baer brakes for the GN takes a long time, they always seem to be on back order. I have Baer brakes throughout the my car and they took over 2 months to come in.

Good Brakes through.

I wouldn't go with drag brakes if you're looking for the best stopping power. A great auto cross type kit is what you're looking for but probably in a 15" wheel which will hurt brake fade #'s due to rotor size.

You're going to have to talk to Mark William first to see what brand will work with their axles.

Then, you're going to be surprised as for the car to stop at it's best, you can't just load up the fronts, you need a complimentary rear kit. $$$$$$$$

If I had the $$, 6 piston fronts and 4 piston rears with the proper solid vented 2 piece rotors and a pad that's not too one dimensional ( street/track etc ).

If you're on the Powermaster you might be able to get away with huge piston bore calipers due to the massive line pressure.

I have the Aerospace street front kit and it's a nice improvement, the rears will go on once I do the rear end upgrade.

Thanks for the reply's, i still have not made a decision but will make some more phone calls this coming week.
