Rattle in Park

Anyone ever experience a rattle like sound while in Park like a loud rattling converter shield but doesn't make the noise in reverse, neural or drive? While idling in Park, the noise gets louder with tighter TV and goes away with a fully loosened TV cable adjustment. Drives fine. Happens in Park only.

Sounds like your pump is going out.

Could be a cracked flex plate, something loose in the converter itself. You might try unbolting the converter, sliding it back and seeing if it goes away when running the engine. This could tell you if it is in the trans/converter or to look forward.

I’ve seen cracked flexplates and broken bolts cause a rattling sound but with adjustment of tv cable I doubt it’s either of those!

first thing to check is your torque converter bolts and make sure they're not loose
