I have a complete stock 87 GN, I want to upgrade my fuel system. What does everyone reccommend.I will eventually put big air kit, chip, headers, downpipe and upgrade exhaust. If I do the fuel system first (old injectors are tired)what should I run. This will be a DD,I want a setup that I can build on ,but still use with stock chip, headers, air intake etc.

Thanks to onefastcar, hrhoward and the rest of you guys for the support I got when trying to get this running, she's running better but still has a little detonation when I hammer her down. Also still a little rough on idle.

I want to run higher injectors than 30 psi, I would think they would not be adequate with engine mods. Can you run say 42psi injectors with a stk set up?

You should look into 42.5(bluetop) injectors. they are a very good injector thatyou can run on the street (if that makes sence) and still get good gas milage. the red armstrong xp fuel pump is what i have no problems. get a hot wire kit. An AFPR would be good also if you dont have one. As far as headers go you dont really need them unless you are planning on running in the 10s or lower. The stockers woork pretty well but you do what you like(just trying to save you money). Stay away from Flowmasters. If you like you can check Jay Fricks site out he has lots of goodies in stock and is wuick on the delivery. Its www.jaysgn.com. He should have everything you are looking for. Harry

I run 50s with the stock turbo with no problems.
One of the problems with knock & rough idle is the stock chip.

I would definatelty go with 50#ers. good midrange injector!! If you are detinating change the chip and make sure your 2 hoses on your turbo and wastegate actuator are on and not cracked. I have a pretty much new Terry Houston Down pipe with dump test pipe, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, adjustable wastegate actuator and other parts to get you started. I can work out a package deal with you if you want them. You need to to do a few things that are pretty cost efficient to get that puppy running correctly. Send me a Private message and I'll try to help out!! ----Jeremy
