Holy Cr_p this sitting around the house while being unemployed is driving me nuts.
If this is what retirement is going to be like forget it i will work forever.

5 weeks so far & going stir crazy.. Plus being 20 outside is not helping matters.

At least I have gone on 7 interviews = 3 in 06 & 4 in 07 so far.
Getting the usual YOU MAKE too much for what we want to pay.

The only prospect at this point is working for the post office. I have to wait as it goes thru its slow tedious criminal, background & driving records. Imagine I worked for them nov/dec of 06 & they have to go thru this checking again.

Sorry for venting. I think I am losing my mind..

Hopefully you are not like me when you have time on your hands at home. I get so bored I go shopping either online or onsite.

It costs me more money to be at home bored than anything else.

You guys need to come to Atlanta and do a few weeks of work for me, so I can see what its like to chill. I have a 3 week old baby that I rarely see.... new job and too much to do!
Lucky fools!! ;)

I feel ya dude.

Guys are simply not designed to set around doing nothing! We had a pretty bad family crisis a while back causing me to take a few years off work. It nearly killed me! I fell a part...I looked like and probaly smelled like Grizzly Adams  I'm not even going to comment on how much money I spent on ebay because of boredum. Anyways, when the time came for me to work again, I jumped at the first thing not caring what I made and hour etc. Now I'm almost back in the same boat, the wife needs help at home and since her business makes more than I'll ever make, I quit my job once more. That is why I started looking for plastic parts to reproduce like the T-type center caps. I'll never get rich making that stuff but it will go a long ways in keeping me sane around the house.

Anyhow, best of luck!
Ray

Yup, retired from work on disability 10 years ago at the ripe old age of 43. The first 2 years I was a basket case. My wife came close to commiting several felonies on me. I finally discovered golf and have been a happy camper ever since, well most of the time any way. Around Febuary my wife threatens to kill me if I haven't paid my club dues.

I am a member at Bedrock Golf Club in Rutland on Rt. 122. We were open up till Jan. 20. If we get a few days over 32 we can open back up, but that doesn't seem like it is going to happen soon.
