My original compressor is leaking oil out between the case and outer shell. What is a dependable replacement for the original? How much and where do I get? Also, any way to fix the leak? Thanks

paul

Go with a NEW AC Delco compressor.

Make sure you replace the receiver/dryer and orifice tube.

Nick, I just did the R-134 conversion with a new dryer and orifice tube and after purging/filling with 134 I realized the case was leaking oil.
Do I still need a new dryer? Are the AC compressors still available from GM?

If it is an original compressor and dryer, yes, replace it. Am sure dealers have the new Delco compressor. Mine come direct from a Delco distributor.

Local dist. has a package deal of $300 for new compressor, dryer and orifice tube..
