What is the procedure for replacing the rear springs on GN's? Can I just unbolt the lower shock mounts?

Yes, just jack the car up,unbolt the lower shock bolts.
Put 2 jack stands on the frame and lower the rear, leave enough room so the tires dont hit the ground.
Easiest if you have someone push down on the tire to get you more clearence if you need it to install the springs

Jack it up, unbolt lower part of shock & have a friend pull down on one side of the axle as you remove & reinstall new spring. The wife was my extra set of hands. :D

Any one have a problem with your car sitting lower on the driver side.I posted on the suspension section and was told to change the spring insulater. It didn't work. I wonder if I switch the springs from left to right if that would fix it.

Seems to me easier and better to measure the rear spring height from spring perch to spring cup on each side. And if there is any noticable difference, I would replace the springs. Measure the height at the rear of the car at the extremes of each rear fender, what is the difference?
For the same amount of work that you are going to do exchanging the springs, you can measure, and replace if necessary, and resolve the problem, if that's what it is.
