replacing the oil pressure sending unit...

i am having a hell of a time trying to get this thing out... for some reason i just cant get it out. does any one know what size it is? my sockets arent deep enough to get on it so i guess i have to go out and get a new deeper socket... thanks

or is there any tricks to getting this off? i cant seem to get a wrench on it..

Beat on it with a hammer till it bends. Once it's bent, you can get a better grip on it to push it or pull it in the counterclockwise motion to get it out. When you install the new one, make sure you use liberal amounts of JB Weld as sealer and fill up that little hole defect in the end.

If I get time after my honey-do's today, I'm going to try and tee in my VDO sending unit with the stock sender. I'll let you know how it goes.
