Rim size

OK, I know this has probably been beat to death in the past, what size rim, with what back spacing (Weld Pro Star), can I fit with a MT 28x10.5x15 slick for maximum traction with no rubbing. Under Summit's helpfull advice, I purchased 15x8 w/ 3" back space and it rubs when I launch the car. A 10" if possible, would be my choice. Thanks in advance, Dave

A 10" w/4.5" usually works alright or 8" w/3.5"-4" also a good choice.

49blues, that's what I was thinking, but I was afraid to post it w/o researching it, (I have looking for a set of 10"ers myself for a future mod, but forgot to make a note of the off-set.):redface:

GBodyParts.com Online have some photos on their website of 10" w/4.5" bs-personally i like 9" rims with/4.25"-4.5" bs. for the rears.

I have used the 8" w/3.5" backspace with 28x9 slicks. I also run M&H DOT Racemasters 27x10 (12" section width) on a 10" rim w/4.5" backspace. Both clear fine. Brian

Brian's 10"ers look good. I'm running the cargo springs in the rear w/ 28"X9's w/ no issues, but I would prefer the 10" wide rim in lue of the 8".
