I thought I'd do a little product review since there seems to be a lot of questions concerning the RJC style boost controller:

First off, I'm not sure if RJC/Jason Cramer actually produces the controller. Thus, I'm referring to it as the RJC style boost controller since that is what most people are familiar with. I purchased mine from 3 Bar Racing and it is the same product as far as I can tell. RJC and 3 Bar Racing even use the same photo/pic of the controller.

Well, I just installed mine today and am pleased with it. I found that the boost does come on a slight bit earlier than before, but not too noticeable. This is only my observation as it may have to do with my combo since I'm running a TA 49 and still have a stock toque converter which leaves me with just a little lag anyway.

What I am most impressed with is the fact that I had absolutely no boost creep. I turned the knob and set it at just over 16 # and it was locked there under WOT. I was having a problem with my wastegate solenoid before, so this was a nice improvement because even when the stock wastegate solenoid was working propery I would still get some creep.

Also, I found it easy to fine tune the controller as opposed to using the wastegate. Some of you may agree with me that a half of a turn of the wastegate is either too much or too little, at least in my case. Plus the wastegate gets hot and is kind of cumbersome. The controller allows you to set it at exactly the boost level you want without having to fry your hands.

In conclusion, given the price, ease of installation, and benefits derived I give it a definite thumbs up.

First off, There is no RJC "style" boost controller, its the "RJC boost controller" If anyone else has something like it, it is most likely a copy. Second, I do agree, it is a great boost controller!

I wasnt trying to bust ur balls on the last post, Its just that around here, It seems that people dont give RJC racing the credit it has EARNED. RJC sells only the best and I just checked out their website(3 bar racing) and they basically stole the picture off of the RJC site, as far as I can tell. It sucks when people steal ur ideas!

No problem. Actually glad you cleared that up. If you read my original post, I wasn't giving either company all the credit as I was too lazy to research or call both companies to see who actually "invented" the controller. Makes sense that it's from RJC since they appear to be strictly TRs. I agree RJC knows their **** and sell good products. I will follow up on all the other boards too. :)
