ok guys i have a fresh motor that is running rich across the board mainly below 2500 rpm. int #s around 128 but bl #s 105- 115
i have new heated o2 sensor have checked for all possible exhaust leaks , used 3 different maf sensors, new vacunm lines, new charcoal canninster , all new sensors tps set at 42 have tried resetting iac several times does not help.
have used a chip from red armstrong and one of lubrants chips ( natually reds chip is even richer) but no change .also tried different ecm. no help. i unplugged the maf to let ecm go to default and idle still was horrible actually worse. i am running 50 # injectors and i have pulled plugs and it is not 1 specific cylinder running rich it is all across all cylinders.

as you can imagine this @%$ king car is driving me nuts  any help or ideas what to look at will be greatly appreciated
thanks JOHN

Fuel pressure ?
Stock MAF system? Translator?
Chip programed for 50# injectors?

lets see i am running a stock maf . i have tried 3 different ones with same result . even unpluged it with car running wich puts it to default at 5 or 6 grams ( as i have been told ) and still does not straighten up . both chips were burned for my setup. and fuel pressure is at 42 lbs vacum line off

Coolant temp switch could be faulty,Yet sounds like vac leak to me,get the spray out and look for jump in idle.Could also be a bad check valve somewhere.

also replaced the iac valve and cleaned out the housing
all new vacum lines . check valves seem to be ok but car runs bad off boost.
also all sensors are new

any other ideas . anyone??

You covered alot in your first post. You sound like you know what you doing.
Normaly people swing on the lean side. (150-160) Usually because of vacuum leaks. Your on the rich side and may just require adjustments in the chip itself. Alot of us run translators and newer style maf's. That allows you to make adjustments both on low and top end fuel. Changing BLM's. You can even further adjust with a extender extreme chip. This saves alot of time going back and forth with the chip programer.

Post all numbers at idle and at full temp. May get you more hits.

Also can try a new AC DELCO PCV. Thats one thing I did"nt see you replaced.
Mabye your not passing enough extra vacuum that the ecm or the chip is allowig for.
One other thing you can is try a new non heated AC DELCO 02 just for the hell of it.
Just my opinion, hope it helps. Good luck!

thanks for the ideas . i will check the pcv valve . the o2 sensor has no miles on it . and i had a non heated o2 sensor on it before this and it still did the same

Is the cam sensor set right??? After it is running, be careful and disconnect the cam sensor. This should put it in batch fire instead of sequential. If it cleans up, the cam sensor is set wrong or is questionable. This is just FYI, but if you did not know this already it should be set 25 degrees after TDC. From the timing mark on the balancer, it is 1 and 9/16 of an inch after the mark..

Just one thing to look at...

egr blocked off and disconected.

set cam sensor correct with cam sensor tool and tape cut to 1.45 to get correct timing setting.

i will try disconcting cam sensor and see though

thanks for these ideas

Cam sensor advice

Thanks, I'm looking into the same type of rich issue.

Hey guys, I really dont think the cam sensor is going to cause a rich or lean condition.
Blocked off EGR on the other hand takes away some extra out side vacuum that is allowed in the ecm. Thus running a little rich. It's going to have to be tuned out in the chip.

Disconnect the PCV and block off the vacuum source. This made a huge difference in my car. Replace PCV with the correct AC Delco CV893C or Autozone sells Deutch brand PCV162. Eric @TT has good luck with the Autozone brand. Hope this helps.

Where BLM's running high or low before you unhooked and blocked off PVC line. Correct me if I'm wrong but I would say they where running high?

mike did replacing the pcv affect a existing rich condition or a lean condition you had .
thanks, john
