Well with the economy the way it is i had a choice to make if i was going to get my x clone done .sell a 87 t-type with 22 thousand miles , or my 88 conquest tsi 73 thousand miles .so i started asking around to board members i know local if any one was interested . Well got a call from a member here asking about my conquest .after sitting in my warehouse for 15 years untouched and shown very little love i let her go .makes me want to cry in a way but atleast it went to a member here that will take good care of her and treat her right .i had many great kills in that car. Irocs mostly cause back in the day there was one at every intersection . So with that said [underdoggn] i hope your son gets as much fun and enjoyment out of her that i did . And if you ever want to sell her i hope im first in line to buy her back.. Thanks oilman

john if hes anything like his father hes allready a car nut .. i took his dad the car and left it with him so his son could take a look and see if its what he wanted .hes 15 and a half right now and will be going thru her with his dad.but his dad called me back that night and told me that if his son did not want her him or his brother would take it so i could not come back and pick her up. so sold no matter what . its really a nice conquest and after being stored for so long i thought it would be a problem to get her going again . but i droped the tank removed old race gas cleaned the fuel system and all other fluids .put new race gas in and it started right up and within 15 minutes i was headed over to his place at 15pds of boost and i remembered why i had held on to that car thru thick and thin all these years. so i was kinda wishing they would pass . but after i droped it of i was told three people were in line if his son passed on it. so im glad it went to someone i know . me and my wife went on our first date in that car back in 89 so she is very sad also .ive allways told people that a conquest is like a go-cart with turn signals. you can toss that car around curves like its glued to the road .she will be missed dearly .

i took a bunch of pics while it was still in the heated/cooled warehouse with fifteen years of dust on her .but they are in my phone and i cant find the damn cord to download them .as soon as i do ill get them posted . it was red and full optioned car very rare options like vallet seat levers . i think it had every option for 88 ac/speed wipers/16 wheels 245/50r 225/50 f /5 speed/ front mount ic/2.6 turbo/posi /high speed struts /4 wheel disc / power ant/fire engine red with color match bumpers most of them had black inserts / 10 speaker stereo/and ran 1350s the day i picked her up in the fall of 88 . i left this out. with the car went 2 other motors 1 spare tranny 1 spare turbo with injectors and every thing to rebuild her twice. ive been collecting stuff for her for years waitng to do something speacial with her . but right now getting this clone done is first so my pain is his gain .. but he and his family are great peeps . so im happy with that .. i guess .to be honest this is all my fault i went crazy building my hurst olds motor i wanted it to look stock if you opened the hood .but lurking inside the block and heads is a 450 horse monster but it looks stock original with a/c . so i got what i wanted and paid a ton to make it happen . building three or four cars at once is just insane any more but will pay out in the long run i hope & pray .. thanks for listening my blabber.p.s. her nickname was the red rocket before south park was even a show on tv ..
