While cruising at 65 mph should you ever get double digit (059,080,021) numbers? When mine does this I will get a dead miss. Also while mildly powerbraking (2000 rpm) I will get a string of these numbers with the car missing like crazy! Just installed a new ac delco o2 sensor and did not help. Unplugging the cam sensor eliminates the miss while cruising but the double digit numbers are still there. Anybody ever get these kind of numbers on their Scanmaster. WTH! Thanks R.B.

I'll take a stab at it....

I believe if you unplug the cam sensor, you are placing the car in batch mode. And if it runs better it is an indication of a faulty injector(s). As far as the 02 counts, a healthy 02 sensor will have the cross counts all over the place. When you go WOT they should read steadily in the 750 to 800 range (ideally). If your cross counts didn't jump all over at idle and cruise, then it would be an indication of a faulty 02 sensor.

I am still trying to get my pain in the a$$ right, so don't quote me on anything here!! But I believe this is right.

OK Scanmaster users, please watch your o2 numbers the next day or two and tell me if you ever see any double digit numbers while cruising or under very light acceleration, OK? Thanks, R.B.

The only time I recall seeing numbers such as 0xx is when I am declerating and completely off of the gas.

Might try richening up the Translator, and / or pulling some timing out.

The ecm toggles the AFR to average 14.7 so 1/2 the time it's lean and half the time rich.

What are your BL's?.

Same here. Mine will read 000 for a few seconds when I lift to slow down or come to a stop.

Sometimes when I come off the highway or after heavy accelrating heavily I see 000, and when driving around normally in city I usually see a couple 0xx numbers.

OK, I guess the question is why do I get a miss when I see double digits on the scanmaster........... And BTW, only when it's warm?

I agree with pitbozz on the lazy fueling. You should not see consistent double-digit 02's when cruising, they should bounce. When I see double-digits at cruise, it's usually no more than a few frames at a time. Switching to batch mode will run it more rich. What are the BL's? Fuel pressure?

At cruise my car reads anywhere from 000 - 050, but I'm running a ME chip, so that is what its supposed to do. ;) I would guess a fueling problem too. New fuel filter?

Bl's at idle are 125 and fuel pressure is set at 43 psi static. Changed the fuel filter about a year ago. Just bought a new one a few minutes ago. Haven't installed it yet. Just took a reading from the coil pack towers- 14.7, 15.0 and 14.7. Is this good? Thanks, R.B.

What does the mechanic that you take it to say? I saw in another post that you had some additional work done by him. Maybe when he worked on you car something was disturbed. Might be worth a try to let him look at it. If its only been a couple of months and it is caused by something that he had to take off or replace because of the other work you had done maybe he will give you a diagnosis since you spent some bucks with him. At the least he should give you some phone advice.

I was going to take it to him today but he's out of town for the holiday.

Don't know what this had to do with the Scanmaster numbers but here is the fix. My torque strap had loosened up and was allowing the motor to really lean over and apparently getting into something and shorting it out. Tightened up the strap and no more miss!! Amazing! R.B.
