scanmaster problem ???

my scanmaster v 2.1 works on and off as it wants . mostly after turning on ignition the scrren comes up with the lines then it goes to where it says 2.1 after that it just goes blank . but if i turn the key off. and turn the key on again it will do the same thing over and over again . but go blank and i can get no readings



help??

sounds like its getting no data, check the connection to the white wire.

A defective ECM can cause this, the scanmasters have been very reliable over the years.

i checked and gave the wire a wiggle and it seems to be ok now. will do a new splice and see.
