It's a POS. Coming from a Toyota guy (me) and from a bunch of friends of mine on the matrixowners forum agree. A boxer engine that barely puts out 200hp and a shameful torque.

Now if they come out with an sti version they are going somewhere including an awd system.

Typical Toyota to go ahead and detune a car and pull all the ever living joy out of a sports car. Just look at what they did to the xrs matrix from '03-present. A vehicle that had the same engine as a lotus and then just toss it. They forgot what a sports car is supposed to be ever since they stopped making the Supra.

Exactly. They need to bring the supra back. And not half ass it like every other company is doing with their chargers, challengers and camaros

I say bring back the 2zz motor and put it into your own kind of wagon. Bring back the ae-86 corolla with the 2zz motor and make the car under 3k lbs and you got yourself some potential.

you all need to work in the marketing and engineering departments of Toyota since you seem to know more about what kinds of cars people will buy than they do..

Someone should of said that about GM

Let's look at it this way, I haven't bought a new vehicle in over a decade as no one builds what I want. Right wheel drive, a decent trunk, coupe, and some power. An ls powered two door g8 with a trishield on the grille would work. Build it and I will show up at the showroom. What about that is hard to understand? Wrong wheel.drive will never reside in my driveway again. I've never owned a four door car and don't plan too.

Never said to stop producing the cars that do sell. Just to make another car in their useless inventory of models that is considered a sports car by the public. Please don't tell me there is a need for three different versions of the yaris.

so buy either an 04-06 GTO or a 10-current Camaro and put a Buick badge on it.. i'm sure GM has done the market research and know who buys cars with Buick badges on them, and they've come to the conclusion they aren't looking for that kind of a car in large enough numbers to make it worth the effort of doing it.

Not looking for a go cart with no useful back seat so Camaro is out. I've looked at a few beatdown GTOs. Not really where I want to be in a used car. I will probably just save up and get a Cadillac. Though I'd really rather have a Buick. Maybe they don't think they would sell but a car like the original Grand National/gbody platform wasn't a perrenial best seller cause no one wanted one. Fwd, more door, pos isn't what I will buy no matter how it is styled, or priced. I'll keep my money and dream big.
