Seat Cushion Swap??????

Is it possible to swap the passengers side seat cushion with a drivers side seat cushion. That is the seat bottom cushion only? Can you mount a passenger side seat bottom to the hardware of a drivers seat?

If you are doing this because the cushion itself is shot just call the local uhpolstery shop to replace it for you. Had mine done last summer and now the seat feels great again. Just my .03 cents.

Yes you can swap them. However, you will have hole on the the opposite side of the seat if you swap them. It faces the center console, so it is not that big of deal. I did that and it worked out fine.

That is the info I was looking for. I am basically trying to fix a damaged drivers lower seat. I can not find affordable oem material. The seat shop wants too much to put material on. I have an opportunity to buy a passenger seat cushion for a reasonable price, that I was hoping would not require any special install. I looked at them and could not see a difference, however, you never know. Is the swap pretty basic or did you have to do alot of mods to the new cushion to get it to fit? I have power seats if it makes a difference.

"Two Guys Garage" (Speedvision) reupholstered a GN seat on this past Sundays show. I believe the rerun is on again tomorrow. They may give you some hints.

The only thing I had to do was put a small hole in the material for bolts for the seat back. It is a pretty easy job. I had swapped a power seat cushion into my passenger seat. Nothing realy special about it. Glad I was able to help.
