Should I use the Cometic Head gaskets ?

I would like to try the Cometic MLS head gaskets on my TTA but I've heard a few people say they are prone to leak. I would like some more opinions on these gaskets please. Could someone verify that these are the right gaskets for my TTA. part#H1602060S,the package says Buick V-6 196.231.252ci 3.86".060" MLS 1975-87 stage 1&2. These are the gaskets that Cometic sent me for my TTA. The gaskets look like they are wider than the factory ones and would stick out beyond the heads and block.

i would stick to the stock gaskets unless your making big power. I have run mid tens with stock gaskets with no issues.

So far I've had good luck with them

I'm a big fan too. Not one leak to date. I torque to 85-90 ft/lbs and haven't retorqued one.

I am also using them.........no re torque and no problems!

Russ- 85-90 lbs- is that with 30w oil or moly lube?
