hello, i am trying to diagnose a no-start condition using the gnttype flow chart. on page 1, i am at #3 -- "no spark on all." it then says to "check circuit 839 to c3i terminal M for open. If circuit is OK, it's faulty module connection or module." my question is, what is considered "ok," a closed circuit, or an open one? i tested that terminal, and got a closed circuit with the ignition off, but with ignition on, it was an open circuit. intuition tells me that it should be a closed circuit when the car is on for it to start, but if that means the IM is getting no power, it is strange that the car is getting a spark on all cylinders, just not apparently a strong enough one for the spark detector to pick up. this car is such a basket case -- please help! i'm tired of driving my slow honda.

The CCCI terminal M is the power connection.

Just check it for a good 12 volts with the key ON.

It's right off the CCCI fuse so you can check that if there's a problem.

Goes through the firewall main connector C100 right off the fuse box.

ok, it gets power. i guess if i truly don't have a strong enough spark, i'm looking at a bad ignition module. damn, i didn't feel like spending $100 today, but i guess my baby's worth it. ;)
