Guys,
I have a basically stock GN.Ihave the blue silicone hoses on my intercooler, up pipe, and my maf pipe As shown in the photo.I saw these cool "hump" hose connectors on a site.As shown in the other photo.Would I be able to use these on my engine? Would it affect the air flow in any way.I just like the look of them.It would be a cosmetic application only.Could I use these on the up pipe.maf pipe and intercooler?Any input would be appreciated.Dave

Well if the hump is part of the interior molding and not just on the outside, then yeah I would say that's enough to disrupt smooth air flow. I would think that the hump is just part of the exterior design and the inside is still smooth, but looking at that picture, it looks like you can see where the inside of the hose is affected by the hump as well.

Hump hoses will affect smooth air flow more than just the lip of the pipe inside a standard silicone hose. Their only purpose is for applications where a 45* or less hose is required, or on an application where the hoses & pipes would have movement or flex. The hump is inside as well as outside. I have one in my spare parts bag in the garage. As to the next question of how much will they affect smooth air flow? Don't know, never seen any published testing results. There are quite a few people who run them tho.
Just my O2's worth.
