slow 1-2 shift

on my 87gn it shifts hard at light trottle,but at wot it seems to shift slow on the 1-2 shift

you need a deep sump oil pan and a rear bottom feeder kit for your tranny, its loosing pressure as you floor it and all the oil runs back to the pan and your top feeder is sucking up air. i had the same thing and that kit fixed it, go to www.ptsxtreme.com and order the kit...it's roghly $300

For a cheaper fix for the street use a 700 R-4 filter and overfill by one quart. The filter will hit the pan but it will still pull oil up fine. A PTS pan and pickup cant be beat at the strip for wheels up launches. If you already sucked air at WOT then the band is probably toast and the drum burned. You didnt give any other details about your trans and its condition. Rebuild or any upgrades? The stock calibration is barely adequate for the stock untouched engine.
