Besides a possible "clog" in the pickup (pan) & a malfunctioning oil pump..what could cause this?

I have a new motor here & I'm worried fellas.

I will attempt more details..but the other day it was about 38 degrees outside..& it took 60 seconds for the pressure to rise to 49 lbs.

Even when it is fair weather..60-70..it's slow..it's just alot worse when it's cold. I know the oil is thicker cold.

I'm using Mobile 10/40 (conventional right now).

I did put sme Lucas Oil Treatment in it..very thick stuff..last weekend.

My pressure was rising slow before that..but I don't think it was this dang slow.

Suggestions?

Thanks.

try going to a bigger line ,I had the same thing going on with mine.I replaced the 1/8 line with a bigger one and that fixed it for me .

I have found that a mechanical oil pressure guage is slow to rise in the AM,verses the electric. My wifes T has the cyberdyne dash w/electric oil psi and I have a mechanical pressure guage on the pod and the dash rise instant but the pod is slower. This with autometer guages. My VDO's in other GN's rise pretty quick in the AM. After the inital slow rise they respond quickly.

That's a good bet,I haven't bled it. Kind of a PITA with it installed.
