For those of you that have to go through a loaded mode smog test (using a dyno), what chip are you using for 009s. I'm really not interested in making chip or injector changes when my next smog test is due. Basically I'm looking for a all around street chip for 009s.

TIA

To get through emmisions we use chips that precision burns for us. You wont get through with a street chip & performance will suffer from the emmisions chip.Because the car runs hotter, leaner,& less timing which puts added strain on the engine. I would suggest having two chips.

Being from CA you aren't very likely going to be able to get away with one chip that is a good all around street chip while at the same time being CA smog friendly. Getting a smog chip to get through the CA tests is going to require something virtually identical to the stock chip profile modified for your injectors.
So, do you want to go back to stock chip performance and parameters? Probably not. Use two chips, one for smog, one for good performance.

But I get decent performance with the setup I have now. So I was hoping to change injectors and use one prom for everyday. I realize that to get the maximum performance benefits, I need a performance chip. Heck, CA premium fuel is only 91 octane. So out of convience, I really desire a street chip for the 009s. The Reds93 prom I currently use will pass fine and street performance is sufficient. I want to have my cake and eat it too:D .

Well, I guess all I can say to that is, if your Reds93 chip gets you through smog, then run it. It's not much different than any other "street" performance chip. If it works, use it.
